What Job Town is

Job Town shows fires and other emergencies in New York City, generated automatically from public FDNY dispatch radio by software that can make mistakes. It's for information and conversation, not for safety decisions. It is not an emergency service and is not affiliated with the FDNY or the City of New York. In an emergency, call 911.

Your posts

You're responsible for what you post. Follow the community rules in the app: no slurs, threats, doxxing, sexual content, cruelty toward victims, or spam. We can hide or remove posts and suspend accounts that break them. By posting a comment or photo you let Job Town show it in the app, on the website and in share previews, with your name. We never license your photo to anyone else (a TV station, say) without asking you first; if you say yes, you get paid.

Photos

Only post photos you took or have the right to share. We strip location data from photos before saving them.

No warranty

Job Town is provided as is. Details like addresses, boxes and the companies due can be wrong, late or missing.
